As much as I said I don't want to get into this too early, let me also throw out a detail:
At this point I'm into the idea of a hotel/motel. I personally tend to look for Holiday Inn Express during the little bit of vacation travel I do. If we need to reserve a block of rooms and need to call them up to make reservation (refundable) sooner than Mar./Apr., that sounds OK to me.
I just thought about the fact that my sister-in-law is a part time travel agent. Her niece works for Holiday Inn. In the past we have gotten real good deals, maybe when the time comes and we have counts for the number of rooms, I can talk to her about it.
... Then again this is supposed to be a break from normal life, so maybe I should try to think about the camping...
